Touch For Birth

Integrative Pelvic Bodywork Presentations

This power point talk explores the issues that contribute to the epidemic of women's pelvic floor difficulties, and describes internal and external manual therapy for rebalancing and health. We examine symptoms related to pelvic floor issues beyond incontinence and prolapse, including sciatica, low back pain, and other musculo-skeletal complaints, and explore integrative pelvic care modalities that include external work as well as inter vaginal and inter-rectal work.  We practice sensitizing awareness of our own pelvic floor musculature, learn how to assess for proper pelvic floor balance and tone, and explicate when to refer to a pelvic floor specialist.

Holistic Pelvic Care™ Presentations

This talk explores and explains Holistic Pelvic Care™ as a model of pelvic rebalancing.  Developed by Tami Kent, P.T., the work addresses physical and energetic imbalances that block or limit a woman's creative aspirations and core vitality. The technique involves gentle intravaginal massage along with focused emotional attention which helps realign the pelvis physically and energetically. Ultimately, the intent is to restore the pelvic bowl as the woman's creative center.
